Michael McCord: The Man Who Will Inspire You With His Story

Michael McCord, From Quadriplegic to Climbing Mountains

Don’t believe those who claim to have all the answers as to what is or is not possible. YOU are in control of every situation and the only things holding you back are self-imposed doubts and limitations of imagination. If you don’t like the rules, make your own!

About Michael

I am a native of Nebraska and reside in Olathe, KS. Among my many activities include serving as a mentor for the Christopher Reeve Foundation, and as a member of the Board of Directors of The Whole Person, whose mission is to connect people with disabilities to the resources they need by supporting independent choice and advocating for positive change in the community.

In 2001, my life was turned upside down by a home accident that left me quadriplegic with about a 10 percent chance of ever walking again. This was followed by job lay-off and divorce. Those were by far the darkest points in my life and the journey to recovery was long and winding. My journey to ultimate success revealed some important truths.

By weaving science and spirituality, One Step at a Time, Memoir of a former Quadriplegic reveals the interconnectedness between the two and the power that every one of us possess to manifest his or her own destiny. This “secret science behind miracles” has profound implications upon healing and even reality itself. Many self-help books have been written, however few are by someone who not only talks the talk but has walked the walk.

Extensively footnoted and supported, the book is a roadmap to overcoming the obstacles in life that we all face from time to time. Recently retired, it is my deepest desire to support others facing difficult challenges in their lives, either through speaking engagements or one-on-one mentoring. I believe the lessons I learned can help you reclaim your right to health and happiness as well.
